Ty McCormack is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with Aksala Wealth Advisors focusing his career on providing financial literacy to both individuals and corporations. As a financial planner and son of an estate planning attorney, Ty understands the value of having all of one’s financial affairs in order at all times. He had also been taught, from a young age, the value of philanthropy and the belief that “as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10). Walking the talk, Ty and his wife, Kylan, have established a Donor Advised Fund with The Catholic Foundation as well as the McCormack Family Charitable Endowment Fund to benefit marriage preparation activities in the Diocese of Orlando. They are also members of the Vivos Christi Legacy Society.
“I was blessed to have been raised in a Roman Catholic family where our faith came before anything else. In my career and personal life, I am very prudent with money in regards to which organizations I trust with my assets. After doing a thorough analysis of The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida, I felt confident that there was no other place that would honor our charitable legacy better.”
As a result of this same confidence, Ty became a founding member of The Catholic Foundation’s Planned Giving Advisory Council (PGAC) and earned his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation as a member of the Foundation’s CAP® Study Group. For the past two years, Ty served as Vice Chair of the PGAC – a group of active and talented charitable gift and estate planning professionals dedicated to the mission and vision of The Catholic Foundation. He now takes the reigns as we look to grow and expand the impact of the group across the nine counties of the diocese.
Ty lives in Winter Park with his lovely wife Kylan and daughter Maeve – and they are expecting their second child, Claire, in October 2025. Ty is a graduate of both Clemson University (B.A. Chinese & International Business) and Auburn University (MBA and M.S. Finance), where he was an All-American Track/Cross Country athlete and the 2014 SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year. On the weekends, Ty can be found either running in road races, watching the Tigers play sports, or volunteering his time to the Catholic church and United Against Poverty.
