Charlie Van Patten served as a Director of Philanthropy for The Catholic Foundation from 2022 – 2024 after many years in the legal services department of Crescendo, Inc – a leading planned and major giving software and marketing company. During his time with Crescendo, he provided support to gift officers and professional advisors seeking to understand the intricacies of planned gifts. Charlie has enjoyed the opportunity to present at multiple national planned giving conferences. He has also led seminars and webinars on major gifts, planned gifts, and blended gifts throughout the United States. Charlie is a member of the American Council on Gift Annuities’ Rates and Regulation Committee.
Prior to entering the field of planned giving, Charlie practiced family law in his home state of South Carolina. He earned his juris doctor at Liberty University School of Law, where he met his lovely wife, Jennifer. Together with their six young children, Charlie and Jennifer enjoy traveling and spending time together outdoors.
Charlie currently serves as a Legacy Giving Officer for EWTN. In 2025, Charlie passed the Florida Bar and is looking to assist individuals and families in Central Florida with their estate planning needs.
Siobhan O’Malley, CFP

Siobhan currently serves part-time as a financial counselor to our military service members and their families. She educates and provides tools to help them get their financial house in order in areas such as Budgeting, Building Wealth, Saving and Investing, Car Buying, etc. Additionally, she has created Personal Finance curriculum and presented it to specific student groups at the University of Central Florida. Her audiences with the military and in academia ranged from five to fifteen hundred.
She has been a parishioner in the Orlando diocese since 1976 (SMM, SP&P, MPB) and is a graduate of both St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School and Bishop Moore Catholic High School. She earned her Bachelor’s from Stetson University, BA degree and spent most of her career in banking: Lending, Branch Manager, Estate Planning & Investments.
At the parish level, Siobhan and her capable team members led both the 10-Year and, just recently, the 20-Year Anniversary celebrations at Most Precious Blood. Her parish honored the milestone with a St. Carlo Acutis guest speaker, a Eucharistic Miracles exhibit, a Eucharistic Procession in downtown Oviedo, veneration of St. Carlo’s relic and an anniversary Mass.
Siobhan is also a member of the Foundation’s 2026 Women’s Philanthropic Giving Circle.

Carina de la Torre co-founded Tower Law Group, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, elder law, and probate and trust administration. Years of litigation experience provide Carina with a focus on proactive asset protection planning in all areas of her practice and a mission to keep families out of court and out of conflict.
Prior to co-founding Tower Law Group, Carina practiced with Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, where she enjoyed a broad-based commercial litigation practice. In 2011, Carina co-founded Tower Law Group with her sister and law partner, Adriana de la Torre, in order to focus her practice on serving individuals, families, and small business owners who are looking to Protect What’s Priceless®: their peace of mind, their family, their assets, and their legacy.
Carina is fluent in Spanish and is dedicated to serving the needs of her diverse client base. She is a frequent speaker, seeking to educate and empower individuals to protect everyone they love and everything they’ve built through effective estate planning and asset protection plans.
Carina received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Miami and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from University of Indiana Maurer School of Law.
