This past month, members of the Diocese of Orlando and The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida (CFOCF) gathered in New Orleans to participate in the 2024 International Catholic stewardship council (ICSC) National Conference, perfectly themed “Called to be Saints.” This event brought together members of various dioceses across the U.S. to explore the spirit of stewardship in the Catholic Church.

The conference offers the opportunity to engage in educational sessions and share insights with peers from across the nation to further enrich our understanding and commitment to our mission. The sessions were filled with inspiring talks that motivated us to think creatively about stewardship.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the conference is the opportunity to form new friendships. These connections bring fresh perspectives into our initiatives, and everyone was eager to learn from each other.

We left the conference with hearts full of gratitude for the opportunities it brought. We return to Central Florida inspired to continue our mission.

Thank you to all who attended and collaborated with us during our time at the ICSC Conference. Congratulations to our four Growing Your Stewardship Grant winners who attended the ICSC National Conference for the first time:

  • Father John Giel, Pastor at Divine Mercy Catholic Church.
  • Charlotte Funston, Principal at St. Peter Catholic School.
  • Jason Halstead, Parish Staff at Blessed Trinity Brother’s Keepers.
  • Claire Huff, Lay Finance/Stewardship Council at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

It was a pleasure having you and we hope you learned as much as we did.
