St. Faustina Legacy Seminar Recap
On April 5th, we celebrated our first Lake County Legacy Planning Event of 2025 at St. Faustina parish in Clermont! We were so grateful to spend time with nearly 40 attendees. This event was joyful and informative, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of Pamela Blatter and the parish Bereavement Ministry volunteers, all of the parish support staff, Father Carlos, and our generous estate planning attorney, Maureen Arago. Maureen is a Catholic Lawyer’s Guild member and serves clients in a personalized, faith-based manner. She kindly donated her time and expertise to educate us on necessary estate planning terms, forms, and procedures. We can’t wait to partner with St. Faustina parish in the future. St. Joseph Education Endowment Fund: The Power of Endowment in Catholic Education
The foundation of a Catholic education extends beyond traditional schooling; it creates a supportive environment that encourages students to deepen their connection with their faith, while also providing a curriculum focused on academic excellence. This vision was inspired by a dedicated parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven. Bob Radamacher’s legacy continues through the St. Joseph Education Endowment Fund. Motivated by his faith, Bob included a bequest in his will to create an Endowment Fund that helps hardworking families who value a Catholic education to enroll their children at St. Joseph Catholic School in Winter Haven. To honor this significant gift, school leaders and several board members held a ceremony to unveil a plaque commemorating Bob Radamacher, which…

Celebrating the Feast Day of Our Patron Saint: St. Katharine Drexel
On March 3rd, the Church joyfully celebrated the Feast Day of St. Katharine Drexel, patron saint of philanthropy and patron saint of CFOCF. St. Katharine Drexel is a model of fearless generosity and complete trust in God to tend to her needs. Rather than indulging in the massive inheritance she received from her family, she chose to invest in heavenly treasures. Every cent of her inheritance went towards furthering the model of Christ’s charity, and St. Katharine Drexel subsequently took a vow of poverty. We seek St. Katharine Drexel’s great joy and hope that she found in returning her earthly treasures to our God through her care of the poor, and through our mission, we desire to gather our Diocese in sharing…

These four events educated over 80 attendees on how to create legally valid Wills and Trusts, how to steward their earthly treasures and avoid probate, how to create perpetual legacies through planned charitable gifts, and, most importantly, how to ensure that what God gave us on earth to enjoy becomes an expression of love when we are called to return to Him. Winter 2025 was our busiest Legacy Planning event season yet, and we look forward to many more! If you are interested in attending a Legacy Planning Event or want…
