The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida is proud to sponsor the 2024 Don Quijote Awards.  Don Quijote is a classic literary character. He is a visionary who sees the world not for what it is, but what it could be. This ceremony recognizes businesses and individuals who demonstrate his visionary and courageous characteristics.  Bishop Noonan kicked off the evening with an inspiring invocation about our part in the apostleship legacy. The ceremony continued with a series of performers, an extravagant dinner, and uplifting stories from different organizations attending. Our Team Members, Madelyn Weed, CFRE, CAP® Interim CEO and Susan Diaz, Executive Assistant, receive recognition at our annual Diocese Advent Retreat for their 5 years of exceptional service at our organization. Madelyn and Susan have both played integral roles in advancing our mission over the past 5 years. Our Team Sponsors Christmas for Refugee Youth Program

The Catholic Foundation is partnering with Catholic Charities to bring joy to refugee children through a special Christmas Gift Drive. Each of our staff members chose a child to sponsor from the Catholic Charities Refugee Youth Program and will ensure that child receives a gift from their Christmas list.  The Refugee Youth Program serves refugees up to 18-years-old who recently arrived in the United States with their families. Most refugee families have endured great trauma, as they fled their home for safety here. This drive is a way to extend hope, love, and joy to these families during this Christmas season. PGAC Members Tour the New Cristo Rey Orlando High School

In November, our Planned Giving Advisory Council (PGAC) Members gathered at the newly established Cristo Rey High School in Orlando for their 2024 social Advisor event. The members got an exclusive tour of the school, showcasing the various facilities that Cristo Rey will provide.  Cristo Rey High School is a unique educational institution that provides students from lower-income households with access to higher education. The school’s innovative model ensures students succeed by combining rigorous academics with real-world work experience. Students at Cristo Rey attend classes four days a week, with Fridays reserved for internships.
