The Catholic Foundation Sponsors Bishop Moore Catholic’s Legacy Gala

The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida was honored to sponsor the 2025 Bishop Moore Catholic Legacy Gala on November 8 at Rosen Shingle Creek. This annual event celebrates Bishop Moore’s mission and recognizes individuals whose leadership and philanthropy have strengthened Catholic education in our community. This year’s honorees, the Andrew P. Caneza Family Foundation and Carole Hingtgen (P ’16, ’17), were celebrated for their lasting contributions to the school’s growth and excellence. First Look of New Gospel Gardens at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary

Bishop John Noonan along with The Catholic Foundation welcomed guests for a sneak peek of the new Gospel Gardens featuring sculptures by artist Timothy Schmalz. The Gospel Gardens are a gift to the world from Barbara Papitto, offered in loving memory of her husband, Ralph Papitto. For more than 40 years, Barbara has supported causes where she believes she can make a true difference. We are truly grateful for her generosity and devotion to Christ. The fourteen colossal sculptures feature a life-size representation of Jesus and the principal events of His Crucifixion in the foreground, with detailed sculpted landscape in the background, a combination that places the particular scene within its biblical context. Visitors were welcomed by Bishop Moore students…
