Darrell DeVaney
Our new Chair of the Planned Giving Advisory Council, Darrell DeVaney, was one of our founding Planned Giving Advisory Council members. He was raised in the Orlando area, graduated from the University of Florida and dove straight into the financial planning and investment management industry. After helping clients navigate the bursting of the technology bubble, the financial crisis and housing meltdown, Darrell learned a lot about behavioral finance and the flaws of the investment industry. The formation of F4 Wealth Advisors is the result of this experience and the desire to create a client centric firm with dynamic investment advice, financial planning and technology. F4 Wealth Advisors has offices in Winter Park, Florida and helps individuals, families, foundations and non-profits through personalized planning, investing and fiduciary support.
In addition to serving on our Planned Giving Advisory Council, Darrell has sat on the Rollins College Hamilton Holt School Advisory Board, the St. Margaret Mary Board of Education, and the Board of Directors of First Tee Central Florida. He is Past President of the Maitland Historical Society, where he helped facilitate the merger to what is now the Maitland Art & History Association. Darrell is also the Founder of Social Golf Leagues, the largest golf league organization in Central Florida.
Darrell has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) as well as the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designations from The American College of Financial Services. He established the private/public partnership with The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida to begin the Central Florida CAP Study Group to enhance philanthropy in our community. “I’m proud to help further elevate philanthropy in Central Florida. This will have a broad-reaching impact for generations. The professionals participating will finish with an elite designation with the CAP®, and therefore the donors they advise will become more educated and engaged, and the ultimate beneficiary of course will be all of the great nonprofits in Central Florida.” Darrell DeVaney, CFP®, CAP® Founding Partner at F4 Wealth Advisors.
Ty McCormack
Our new Vice-Chair, Ty McCormack, was also a founding member of our Planned Giving Advisory Council. Ty has focused his career on providing financial literacy to both individuals and corporations. Having come of age during the Great Recession, he saw firsthand the impact a lack of long-term retirement planning can have in tumultuous times. This inspired his personal as well as his professional desire to guide individuals through any economic season. His fiduciary guidance has helped businesses to maximize their tax-advantaged retirement plans and individual donors to financially plan for the care of themselves, their loved ones and the philanthropic causes on their hearts.
Ty has an MBA and an MSF and has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), the Credited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) as well as the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designations from The American College of Financial Services. He and wife live in Winter Park and he has served the Central Florida community as a board member of United Against Poverty and a track/cross country coach at area high schools.
The Chair and Vice-Chair work together with the team at The Catholic Foundation to plan educational presentations and networking opportunities for our Planned Giving Advisory Council’s ongoing professional development. We appreciate their leadership and their willingness to share their expertise and talent to serve our donors.
