In November, our Planned Giving Advisory Council (PGAC) Members gathered at the newly established Cristo Rey High School in Orlando for their 2024 social Advisor event. The members got an exclusive tour of the school, showcasing the various facilities that Cristo Rey will provide.
Cristo Rey High School is a unique educational institution that provides students from lower-income households with access to higher education. The school’s innovative model ensures students succeed by combining rigorous academics with real-world work experience.
Students at Cristo Rey attend classes four days a week, with Fridays reserved for internships. These internships offer students invaluable experience and the opportunity to develop essential everyday skills.
In addition to academic and work-related resources, Cristo Rey will offer a range of services to support students and their families. The campus includes dental and medical facilities, a laundromat, and other essential services, all conveniently located within one building.
Cristo Rey High School is set to open in 2025. Click here to learn more about Cristo Rey and their mission.
