I have worked within non-profits since college. I love being able to collaborate with my colleagues on a daily basis. I am very passionate about the environment and love spending time outside. I have a love-hate relationship with running (I don’t always love starting a run but I love the way I feel after), I enjoy camping with my family and planting fruiting trees / bushes in my yard so that my boys can pick and eat what we grow!

Joining (or really re-joining) the Catholic Foundation, feels like coming “home.” I started working for the Foundation part-time when I was 19. I grew so much during my time at the Foundation and feel so incredibly blessed to back and continue growing here.

Q: Is there a program or initiative that’s especially meaningful to you?

A: The Shepherd’s Fund. I was part of the Foundation when The Shepherd’s Fund started and I love that this fund exists. It is a way for the Bishop to easily distribute funds to where it is needed most. This is the best emergency fund that also reports out when the funds go every year.

Q: If you could tell donors one thing, what would it be?

A: We exist to help you with your charitable giving and ensure it follows and upholds the Catholic values you care so deeply about.

Q: What is a common misconception people have about the Foundation?

A: That The Catholic FOUNDATION of Central Florida is the same as Catholic CHARITIES of Central Florida. Catholic Charities of Central Florida does great work that is inspired by Matthew 25:35-36 AND the Catholic Foundation of Central Florida exists to help individuals engage in philanthropy in a faith-filled way. We exist to help ensure your dollars go further and do so having best-in-class investment managers that not only work to achieve established target returns but also consistently screen for Catholic values, achieving a current portfolio rating of 99.86% compliance with USCCB guidelines.

Q: What message would you give to someone just beginning their giving journey?

A: “It is Jesus you seek when you dream of happiness; he is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; he is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is he who provokes you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise” – St. John Paul II
