Clara was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and moved to South Florida when she was just 10 years old with no knowledge of English, except for easy things like car or counting to 10.
Clara has always been very dedicated and by the time she was 12, Clara was speaking fluent English and attending advanced classes. She loves learning and says if she could stay in school forever she would.
High school was where she discovered her love for storytelling through the art of photo/videography. But when she was 16 years old, she decided to go to a program called College Academy that allowed her to finish high school with her Associates of Arts degree.
After graduating from College Academy, she headed to the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) to finish her communications journey. There she obtained an Electronic Journalism Bachelor’s degree with a minor in Sociology.
Clara is working for The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida, as our Services and Communications Coordinator and her days consist mainly of work, working out, and taking care of her three ferrets.
