Faces of Philanthropy Q & A with Kevin Bowler:
Q: What motivates your Catholic giving?
A: To whom much is given – much is expected — sharing god’s gifts. My purpose is ‘to help those who need a hand to continue their life’s journey’ as a way of repaying/thanking all the helping hands I have had to get to my current space.
Q: How do you see faith and philanthropy working together in your life?
A: Pray, plan, and provide the best of one’s capacities.
Q: What inspired you to create a DAF with the Catholic Foundation?
A: The biggest challenge is planning — this is where CFOCF can help and make giving a lot easier and rewarding; especially with the DAF model and the benefits of giving — with the time to think thru.
Q: What advice would you give someone considering starting a fund?
A: The hearse doesn’t stop at the bank on the way to the graveyard — it is too late — what should have been done now can’t be done.
