Faces of Philanthropy: Susan Diaz

Susan Diaz

Executive Assistant

Susan has been an administrative professional her entire career with 15 of those years in the non-profit sector.  She moved to Central Florida from Connecticut, where she worked as an Executive Assistant at Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Hartford.  There she witnessed the help and hope provided by the many programs offered by Catholic Charities, which only deepened her passion for this organization and for helping others less fortunate.  After relocating to Florida, Susan started at The Catholic Foundation in 2019, a blessing and a perfect transition to continue God’s work through a philanthropic lens. Susan enjoys the diversity of her role as Executive Assistant to the President & CEO, supporting the Board of Directors with meeting materials and logistics, assisting with check processing, coordinating team meetings, and ensuring smooth operations across departments.  She is the one who sees the big picture and the small details.

In her free time, Susan enjoys motorcycle riding through the back roads and visiting new destinations with her husband, Angel; they frequently join group rides in support of charitable causes or fellowship with other cruisers.  She also enjoys spending time with family at local festivals and Orlando’s theme parks.
