Faces of Philanthropy Q & A with Thais Ayala:

Q: Why is planned giving important to you or your clients?

A: Planned giving in life insurance allows families to protect what matters most today while also creating a gift that blesses future generations. What excites me is seeing the joy in a client’s eyes when they realize their story and their values will live on through their gift

Q: What’s one misconception people often have about planned giving?

A: People often think it’s only for the wealthy, but the truth is that anyone can create a meaningful legacy, even if you cannot give today.

Q: Can you share a simple planned giving tool or strategy more people should know about?

A: Something as simple as naming a charity as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy can leave a lasting gift without affecting daily expenses. Some insurances will even match your contribution to a maximum.

Q: How does your faith or personal values influence your professional work with charitable planning?

A: For me, it’s about love – my values remind me that money is not just for today’s needs, but also a way to care for future generations and causes close to our hearts.

Q: What do you hope to contribute to the Foundation’s mission?

A: I hope to bring practical ideas and encouragement, so more families feel empowered to include giving in their plans.
