Our Team Members, Madelyn Weed, CFRE, CAP® Interim CEO and Susan Diaz, Executive Assistant, receive recognition at our annual Diocese Advent Retreat for their 5 years of exceptional service at our organization.
Madelyn and Susan have both played integral roles in advancing our mission over the past 5 years. Through their hard work, they show their commitment to spreading our church throughout the world to its fullness of charity.
Before serving as Interim CEO, Madelyn was the VP-Chief Donor Services Officer. The Donor Services team handles Endowment Funds, Donor Advised Funds, and Community Outreach. They are also responsible for organizing events such as our Legacy Seminars and Wine & Wills event.
Madelyn has easily integrated into the role of Interim CEO to ensure our team continues without missing a beat.
Madelyn says, “Working at The Catholic Foundation has blessed me with the opportunity to witness the joy of giving and see the impact those gifts have on the work of the Church in Central Florida. We are called to be stewards of God’s gifts and bring the Church to its fullness of Charity. It is incredibly meaningful to, even in a small way, assist in our donors’ commitment to these values; knowing that they are responding to the Gospel’s call to serve others, care for the poor, and support the building of God’s Kingdom. The joy of seeing this faith-driven generosity is truly inspiring, and it reminds me of the words of St. Francis of Assisi: ‘For it is in giving that we receive.’”
As the Executive Assistant, Susan manages the calendar of the CEO and executive team, is a liaison for our Board of Directors, and provides administrative support to our team.
Susan says, “A favorite motto of mine is ‘live with purpose.’ The mission and values of The Catholic Foundation have guided the meaningful work I do in supporting a team who embraces the mission of building God’s Kingdom every day. I am blessed to have been a part of the organizational excellence of The Foundation for the past five years.”
