Please help us welcome Colleen Duris and Josh Black, our newest members of The Catholic Foundation’s Planned Giving Advisory Council (PGAC). Colleen is a Parishioner of Blessed Trinity-Ocala, and the first member of the council to represent the Northern Deanery of the diocese. Josh is a parishioner at St. Margaret Mary, and is the first ever insurance professional to serve on the PGAC.
The PGAC is a group of charitable gift and estate planning professionals dedicated to the mission and vision of The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida (CFOCF). The CFOCF and the PGAC members provide educational and networking opportunities to support Central Florida professionals, incorporating distinct services that will help clients realize their goals, and connect them to resources to further their philanthropic journey.
PGAC members serve as ambassadors in the Central Florida community, promote charitable and planned giving opportunities, providing their clients not only tax benefits but also resources to help them realize their philanthropic goals. They connect clients to philanthropic resources where appropriate, including CFOCF. Together they offer charitable giving tools compliant with Catholic/Christian social teaching, supporting the financial future and growth of parishes, schools, and the entire Central Florida community.
Members of the Council are chosen in consideration of the geographic make-up of the committee to include Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Polk, Marion, Sumter, Volusia, and Brevard Counties. PGAC membership is by invitation only for active Catholics in the Diocese of Orlando. Members are approved by the Board of Directors Development Committee, and may be nominated by The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida Board of Directors or the Planned Giving Advisory Council itself. To find out more about the council, contact Madelyn Weed, CFRE, Vice President, Chief Donor Services Officer.
