Randall Scott

The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida is pleased to announce that Randall Scott, a national security and defense industry executive dedicated to improving Catholic education, has joined the board of directors, which is comprised of lay leaders, clergy and religious members throughout the nine-county area of the Diocese of Orlando.

Mr. Scott’s appointment reflects The Catholic Foundation Board’s commitment to diversity in Central Florida and marks the first time the board has a representative from every regional deanery in the diocese. The Catholic Foundation board is committed to diversity in areas including geography, gender, age, profession and ethnicity. The Catholic Foundation’s board members represent diverse professional fields of expertise and are leaders in their parishes and communities around the diocese. Mr. Scott and his wife attend Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala, which is in the Northern deanery.

“Central Florida is one of the fastest growing areas in the state, so it is important that our Board of Directors represent and understand the diverse local needs of our community. We are fortunate to have Randall as our first board member from the Northern deanery,” said J. Thomas Chandler, Chairman of The Catholic Foundation. “Randall’s decades of leadership experience and faithful support of our Church and broader community will help our Board provide the leadership and organizational excellence needed to address the needs of our Central Florida community.”

Mr. Scott is President, CEO and Chairman of MANDEX, Inc., a respected Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business that provides national security and information technology services. MANDEX is based in Fairfax, VA, and operates offices throughout the nation, including Ocala. He has enjoyed a career of more than 50 years, including service in the U.S. military and as a contractor supporting national defense. He is a graduate with degrees from several universities as well as numerous military institutions and schools.

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Scott has been actively involved in the community by helping to improve educational outcomes as they relate to the “Catholic Perspective”. For decades, he and his family have worked to serve the Church and Catholic community through gifts and personal support.
