Madelyn Weed Named President and CEO of The Catholic Foundation

Following a thorough and prayerful discernment process, the Board of Directors for The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida has appointed Madelyn Weed as President and Chief Executive Officer. Madelyn’s appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in her ability to lead the Foundation into its next chapter.
“Madelyn’s leadership has been instrumental in guiding the Foundation through a pivotal period of strategic realignment,” said Karen Monteleone, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Her faith-filled leadership and collaborative approach will continue to build upon our strong foundation in supporting the spiritual and corporal needs of the community and the Diocese of Orlando.”
Over the past eight months, in her role as Interim CEO, Madelyn has worked in close collaboration with the Board, Bishop Noonan, and diocesan leadership to guide a thoughtful restructuring process aimed at strengthening the Foundation’s long-term sustainability and impact. This change was approached with transparency, care, and deep respect for the individuals and ministries we serve.
“It is an honor to be entrusted with the leadership of The Catholic Foundation,” said Madelyn. “I am deeply grateful for the support of the Board, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the continued collaboration of our partners in faith as we build upon a strong legacy of Catholic generosity.”
Madelyn joined the Foundation in 2019 as Vice President and Chief Donor Services Officer and has been instrumental in building a donor-centric culture rooted in faith and trust. She launched the Donor Advised Fund program, the Women’s Philanthropic Giving Circle, expanded the Planned Giving Advisory Council, and led the transformation of the Foundation’s legacy giving efforts. Under her leadership, the Foundation’s granting initiatives grew substantially, deepening its impact across the nine-counties of the Diocese of Orlando.
Her background includes more than two decades of experience in advancement and mission-driven leadership. Prior to her time at the Foundation, Madelyn served for 18 years at Marmion Abbey and Academy in Illinois, leading efforts that raised over $25 million. She also previously held roles with the Walt Disney World Resort and the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida.
Madelyn holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Central Florida, as well as the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) and CAP® (Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy) designations.
